Owl

I need a calm and quiet home where I can settle in at my own pace. I need a resident dog to help me settle in and I have met cats fine. I would like a secure garden to spend time in. I am learning to walk on a lead, but it's still very new for me. I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training. I am a little overweight at the moment and need gentle exercise and good nutrition. 21-09-26 Owl has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a sweet girl who is feeling a little worried and overwhelmed by all the changes in her life. When she first meets you, she can be unsure and worried about being touched, but if you spend some time with her and give her the chance to get to know you, she soon starts to come out of her shell and becomes eager for fuss and attention. With love, patience and TLC, we don't think it will take Owl too long to grow in confidence and show her lovely personality. Owl will be looking for a calm and quiet home with adopters who have experience with dogs and understand that she will need time to settle in at her own pace. She will need another kind and confident resident dog in her new home to be her friend and help her feel safe as she adjusts to her new life. We would consider homing her with gentle, dog-savvy teenagers aged 13+. She has met cats at the rescue and appeared unbothered by them so may be able to live with a dog savvy cat. Owl has never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be kind and patient as she learns all about home life and new skills such as house training. She is also very new to walking on a lead and harness, so this will need to be introduced gently and she will need plenty of practice as her confidence grows. Owl is a lovely girl and with plenty of love and TLC, we hope that she will soon blossom into the happy and affectionate girl we know she can be. She has arrived a little overweight, but with a good diet and gentle exercise she should start to shed the excess weight soon. Our vets have noted that she has a fracture tooth, which they will assess when she is spayed. Owl has a travel document. Owl has been given the Gift of Life by Pamela Balsam
