Hi, I’m Skye! 🐾 Hello, lovely people! My name is Skye and I’m a 4-year-old crossbreed looking for a very special home where I can take things at my own pace. I can be a little shy when we first meet, so please don’t expect me to rush over and say hello straight away. I just need a little time to get to know you and feel safe. But once I’ve decided you’re my friend, you’ll have a bestie for life! I’m actually a very cuddly and affectionate girl when I know and trust you, and I love nothing more than relaxing with my favourite people. I really enjoy going for walks, although I can sometimes feel anxious, so quieter walking areas would suit me best. I’d love to have an understanding owner who can help me build my confidence without putting too much pressure on me. I need to be the only pet in the home but may be able to have dog walking friends if I can get to know them slowly over time. My ideal home would be calm and peaceful, with adults only or children aged 14+ who have experience around nervous dogs. I’m looking for someone who understands that I might need a little while to settle into a new home. Once I feel safe and realise I’m with people I can trust, I’ll be able to relax, show you my loving side and let my wonderful personality shine. Once I’m settled, I can be left for short periods of around two hours, so I don’t need you to be with me every minute of the day. I know I might need a little more patience than some dogs, but I promise that if you give me the time, kindness and understanding I need, I’ll repay you with all the love and loyalty in my heart. ❤️ Could you be the patient, loving person I’ve been waiting for?
