Xander

Say hello to Xander, our gorgeous 11-year-old Labrador cross who may be a little older, but certainly hasn’t lost his zest for life and still has the cutest puppy-dog eyes!! True to his Lab-cross nature, Xander absolutely loves a game of fetch and he’s more than happy to keep you entertained all day long! He’ll happily bring his favourite toy back to you, drop it at your feet and wait patiently for the next throw. Who needs a personal trainer when you have Xander? Despite being a senior boy, Xander still loves getting out and about and enjoys exploring new places on his walks. He’s also a bright boy who is keen to learn new things, particularly when there’s a tasty treat involved! He’s been doing brilliantly with his training here at the centre and is looking for an experienced owner who can continue his training and help him keep building his confidence once he’s settled into his new home. Xander is an affectionate, outgoing boy who loves meeting new people. He’s definitely an extrovert and enjoys being part of the action, although he does like to make sure everyone is up to his exacting standards! He adores getting lots of love from his handlers and is known to lean his weight against you in an attempt to get the most fuss possible! Xander is looking to be the only pet in the home, as he can feel uncomfortable around other dogs. He can live with older secondary school-aged children who are comfortable around dogs. A home with a garden all to himself would be ideal for Xander, giving him somewhere to stretch his legs and enjoy some sunbathing as he is known as a bit of sun worshiper!
