Dolly Daxi

While Dolly can be a little shy when meeting new people, once you've earned her trust you'll discover a wonderfully devoted companion whose favourite place is by your side. Dolly would thrive in a relaxed two person household where someone is around for most of the day. She does find being left alone difficult and struggles with separation anxiety but is much better and more relaxed already in her foster home. Older, sensible teenagers could be considered if they understand her need for a peaceful environment and have previous experience with dogs. Dolly finds other dogs a little overwhelming and isn't afraid to voice her opinion so would benefit from going on quieter walks and living in a peaceful area. Her future family should also be prepared to support her with her current medical needs, including only having 1 eye, and understanding that although she is doing well, any future issues will need to be approached one step at a time. Meet Dolly, a five year old Dachshund. This absolute sweetheart has been described as a super little dog who just wants to be loved. Life with Dolly is all about enjoying the simple things together. She adores nothing more than spending time with her favourite people, happily taking life at a gentle pace. Short, enjoyable walks suit her perfectly, making her an ideal match for someone who values companionship over long adventures. She's fully housetrained, settles beautifully in the car (usually snoozing the journey away) and in the evenings is content relaxing while still knowing her people are nearby.
