Sienna

Say hello to the beautiful girl, Sienna! Sienna is a bull&terrier type cross who was found as a stray so we have no history on her life prior to coming into Battersea. Sienna is a pretty timid girly, quite shy and avoiding at first, but does warm up to people fairly quickly if no pressure is placed on her. Once she is bonded she shows off her cracking personality and loves receiving as much fuss as she can! Due to her worried side, she will be looking for owners who have experience with nervous dogs and are able to recognise and read her body language when she is unsure and are willing to be patient whilst she transitions into their home. It is unlikely that Sienna will give much away during introductions with potential new owners. Due to having no background information, we don't know whether she has spent any time in a home environment. New owners would need to be an adult only household that has a good understanding of basic training and what best approach suits her to teach her some life skills as well as building confidence. A quite location and her own private garden would be beneficial to helping her build up this confidence at her own pace. Like with unknown people, Sienna can be worried around unknown dogs, however once in their presence and realising they mean no harm, she can actually be quite playful. We believe that she may be able to live with another dog if they can adapt to her worried and friendly nature as appropriate. Once Sienna settles into her new home, we are confident that she will make any house a complete home. New owners must understand that Sienna will likely always be worried around unknown people, but once she knowns and trusts you, she's an absolute joy!
