Daphne

We feel Daphne would be best suited to living with older children, aged 11 plus due to some of her sensitivities. Once she’s been given time to build a relationship, she gets very excited to see you and loves to have cuddles, but will take herself away when she’s had all the attention she wants. Daphne will need a secure garden with 6ft fencing, so she’s got a safe space to burn off her energy, zoom around and play with her toys. Daphne could go on walks with calm doggy friends, but she will need time to build a bond with them and needs to go at her own pace. Daphne could also potentially be rehomed with another like-minded, medium and above sized, robust dog pending a successful dog mix on site as she can be selective with her doggy friends. Daphne is a young Lurcher with a big heart and an even bigger love for her people. She is a truly sweet, affectionate girl who is a joy to have around and has so much love to give. Daphne loves nothing more than a good play in the garden with her soft toys — usually accompanied by some very typical Lurcher vocalisations! Once she’s had her fun, she’s more than happy to curl up in one of her favourite resting spots, especially if there’s a comfy cushion waiting for her. In her foster home, Daphne is affectionate and loving, enjoying spending time with her people. She’ll happily greet you with a wagging tail and plenty of affection, and she really enjoys being part of family life. Daphne can be a little timid at times and may take a while to feel confident in new situations. She will therefore need a patient, calm and understanding home where she can take things at her own pace and have the time and space to build her confidence. Once Daphne gets to know you, she has so much love to give. She is a special girl who will thrive with someone willing to help her discover just how wonderful the world can be
