Alfie

Alfie’s previous owner described him as her little shadow and as a sociable boy who enjoys a fuss and gets excited when meeting people. Alfie has never met or lived with children before. We feel that, if Alfie were to live with children in his new home, he would be better suited to older children aged 13 years and over, who can understand that he is an older gentleman who can sometimes feel a little worried about being handled and will respect his space when he is around toys. It is essential that Alfie has access to a secure, private garden in his new home. Alfie does like other dogs and enjoys playing with them outside of the home. However, he can struggle to understand when dogs don’t want to play or are feeling worried by him and needs a little more guidance from his people in these instances. He’s best not to live with another dog at the moment or share space inside a home with visiting dogs , but could make some friends on walks and in the future, he may be able to live with another dog. True to his breed, Alfie does have a high prey drive and cannot live with cats or small animals. . For Alfie, age is just a number. He is still super spritely and likes a run around. He is a sweet gentleman with a lot of love to give someone.
